A Study On The Theme Of "Uncertainty" Of Wong Kar Wai 's Films From The Perspective Of Postmodern Culture

In order to research the theme of Wang Jiawei’s films, the paper touches its deep meaning of discourse through the appearance of Wang Jiawei’s films.comparing the previous’simple Analysis of the themes of Wang Jiawei’s films and standing in the height of philosophy, the paper summarized the theme of Wang Jiawei’s films as "uncertainty".and analyzed it from its connotative meaning and its creative work in detail. From the perspective of post modern culture which contained, the paper thinks of the culture value of the theme in depth. This paper consists of three chapters.In the first chapter, the paper discusses the connotation meaning of "uncertainty" theme of Wang Jiawei’s films in detail. The paper thinks that "uncertainty" theme showed in Wang Jiawei’s films are two ultimate question:what is love and what is life. On this basis, from the subjective and objective uncertainty which is the two aspects of the "uncertainty" theme,the paper analyzes the theme in depth, the research focused on the subjective uncertainty is analysis of the characters’ ambivalence and abnormal behavior in the film; research focused on the objective uncertainty are the background and story space of Wang Jiawei’s films.In the second chapter, the paper analyzes the creative work of Wang Jiawei’s films about "uncertainty" theme in detail. Research on the creative work focuses on two aspects of narrative features and the use of imagery. The paper thinks that the narrative features mainly contained nonlinear of the narrative fracture,confession of the narrative language and fracture of the narrative time and space; while the analysis of the use of imagery grabs four typical images in Wang Jiawei’s films:violence, temptation, wandering and time. And the paper finds that "Uncertainty" theme formed with the film’s narrative features and image using naturallyIn the third chapter, the paper excavates the cultural value of "uncertainty" theme of Wang Jiawei’s films from the angle of post modern culture.
