A Study On Shaanxi Language

Couplets and customs has been known as a "small stuff" and is not worth mentioning, few scholars has a special restudy, it was not until recent years the attention of more scholars. In May 2006 the central government has announced the first batch of intangible cultural heritage items, a total of 518 items. Couplets and customs was ranked 510th among them. Couplets and customs was one of national intangible cultural item, not only because its plays important role in our folk culture, but also itself is one of our national excellent traditional culture form. We study this kind of intangible culture not because its on the brink of extinction, because we are lack of this research. In now days our research were mostly based on rhetoric, level and oblique tones, we did not realized it is a culture, we have not touched the terms of cultural research,but we should realized that this kind of research is necessary and important, as couplets and customs in its thousand years has accumulated a rich cultural connotation.In fact, as a culture, couplets and customs is not only on behalf of the public is an important part of folk culture, but also has typical regional culture characteristic, as this reason we need to study Shaanxi couplets an customs, which contains a rich and colorful culture. In here we should know that we mentioned Shaanxi, does not mean the administrative area in modern times. It always means the antithetical couplet from other area. Antithetical couplet of Shaanxi were studied and pays more attention on Shaanxi couplet’s culture character, and its regional character is this paper’s features, and innovation.In this paper analysis Shaanxi couplet in two aspect. In first chapter, combination of theory and some examples, divided Shaanxi couplet into three types, celebrities write antithetical couplet, narrate history couplet, write the scenery couplet. In celebrity couplet, emphasis on Shaanxi people has writes a large number of couplets, and this couplets has rich area culture, written couplet is this writers unconscious, their emotion was unconscious shown. There are lots Shaanxi writers, such as Yuyouren, Lude and Wangjie, they both have written large number of couplet. In their works have reflect this Shaanxi intellectual, concerns about the country,the people,the world,a strong humanism spirit. In narrate history couplet, the writer uses this kind of literary style, tell the readers the history in Shaanxi form the ancient times to now, and also narrated some folk stories in Shaanxi, which provide a valuable asset for descendants. Through reading this literary works known which historical events were happened in Shaanxi, increase our history knowledge, and rich our confidence. Write the the scenery couplets, the writers are not only from Shaanxi but also the other area, but they both write the couplets of the beautiful scenery, cultural landscape, these couplets are part of Shaanxi cultural. And in this kind of couplets, emphasis on three kinds of couplets, religious couplets, the academy couplets, memorial arch couplets. Through analysis this three aspects, trying to outline a picture of a cultural Shaanxi.In the second chapter is conclusion, include Shaanxi couplet’s character in theory. Shaanxi couplets has two character, folk and literate, analysis these character in-depth. This is another innovation in this papers. In literate aspect use literature way to shown couplets has architecture external form, and concise language, as public discourse, in these aspects couplets customs has its own way in shown aesthetic. In its folk character, trying to use the sociological approach, use Chinese spring festival couplet as the research object. From it is a celebration behave, so it has the characteristics of carnival and ceremony, to analysis this cultural behave. In spring days we hang spring couplets is not a common social behavior, but also a social carnival, in a full of celebration day, it reflects agricultural civilization, it also can ease of social contradictions, increase social cohesion in some way. I called it is a ceremony, as form its behavior reflects the people in ancient times scary for unknown future, and their best wishes for future life. From the color we write couplets, the Han nationality worship the red color, and Man nationality worship white color, the obvious color worship also in couplets culture.
