White Music Thought

BaiPu, One of the four famous writers of Yuan Drama,created a lot of artworks and writings,which are embodied his unique musical ideas and features. Starting from the political, economic, and cultural background of yuan Dynasty, this paper analyzes of Baipu’s works (opera, song, words), and explore the causes,manifestations and significance of his music thought, trying to give readers a more comprehensive, profound understanding of Yuan dynasty literati music thought, enrich our understanding of BaiPu and Broaden the research field of music culture in Yuan dynasty.The whole article is divided into five chapters, four parts. The first part is an introduction, describes the problem of research purpose,research significance, research status and research methods of Baipu’s music thought.The second part includes the second chapter and the third chapter.This part mainly introduces the special political environment, the prosperous city economy and free cultural environment of the abolition of the imperial examination system in the Yuan Dynasty,Shows many factors producing great influence on the formation of Baipu’s music thought, explores the root of Baipu’s art creation,also briefly introduces Baipu’s artworks.The fourth chapter is the third part, which is the focus of this article.This part takes Baipu’s drama works as the starting point, in-depth analyzes his music thought.The chapter Explore three aspects:First, BaiPu inheritaance and breakthrough of Confucian music thoughts.He hold a positive attitude to the origin of Confucian music and the relationships of music and emotional,believes that music is the real voice from human’s heart acting external things and emphasizes the compliance of music for the heart true feelings.His bold breakthrough ritual thought and creat the drama with "real" principle;the protagonist dare to love and hate, has obvious anti feudal, far from the aesthetic standards of Confucianism.Second,he personally practiced Taoist music thought.He was influenced by the Chuang-tzu’s philosophy, praised the "natural" and "adaptation" of music, think that music should conform to the peace and quiet of the human nature,which is in compliance with his attitude. Especially in later years,he settled in Jiangnan, created a large number of tune music.The third is the humanistic spirit in his thoughts of music.China traditional music is a part of traditional culture, embody the ancient cultural psychology that calmly towards life.Baipu as a member of the ancient literati, believe that music is a Straight expression from the Heart. His thoughts of music shines the brilliance of humanity, is reflected not only his own humanistic care, but also his majority of the people and the nation’s safety.The fifth chapter is the fourth part.Look at Baipu’s music thought from the angle of history, he was not only influenced by Confucianism, and daoism music thought, but also had the concern of the humanities.His excellent Yuanqu works handed down to later generations, and provides a model and the basis for the creation of works of Ming and Qing Dynasties;Works reflected the tendency of seeking the independence of personality and anti feudal had a influence in the germination of capitalism and the sure of "People’s awakening of individual life and flesh."...
