A Comparative Study Of Vocabulary In Yiyang Dialect

This article takes the vocabulary of Yiyang dialect of Hunan Province as research object. We conduct field surveys, and based on this we compile the glossary of Yiyang dialect, and make contrast research from horizontal synchronic and vertical diachronic aspects. Including the comparative study between Yiyang dialect vocabulary and Mandarin vocabulary, Yiyang dialect vocabulary and Changsha dialect vocabulary, old Yiyang dialect vocabulary and new Yiyang dialect vocabulary. Through this we highlight the unique characteristic and distinct personality. At last we attempt to.combine pronunciation and vocabulary of Yiyang dialect so that we can lay a good foundation for readers to understand and learn it easier.The full text is divided into five parts as follows: the first chapter is the introduction part. It is the foundation of the whole dissertation. Its emphasis is focus on the Yiyang regional situation、population migration history、 the research scope、the research method and the goal、the history and present situation of Yiyang dialect’s research, So that readers can understand Yiyang better. the second chapter is to Introduce the phonetic system of dialect. the third chapter is comparison with Mandarin vocabulary and Changsha dialect vocabulary.To a certain extend,the camparison has unveiled the characteristic and individuality of Yiyang dialect. The fourth chapter is to investigate the discrepancies between old Yiyang dialect vocabulary and new Yiyang dialect vocabulary. The final chapter epilogue is to summarize the whole text, including the deficiencies of this article and the research prospect. The context ends with the appendix of yiyang dialect vocabulary glossary.
