A Study Of Quantifiers In Central Dialect Of Miao Language

Quantifier is one of the characteristics of Sino-Tibetan languages, Hmong as a member of Tibetan language family, it also contains a wealth of quantifiers. Scholars who studyed in the past mainly focused on the problems that what kind of laguage family Miao belongs to and how to survey and describe it, some other scholars studying more details about Hmong quantifiers as well. These findings revealed some of the characteristics of the Hmong, but the study of the Hmong quantifier is not enough. This study aims to improve the comprehensive Hmong dialect, Central quantifier types, and structural characteristics. With the characteristics of these three aspects, the article is divided into four parts.The first part contains the reason, purpose and significance, while summing up the results on the basis of previous researches of the Hmong, using a reasonable choice of research methods, establishing and resesching a relacted corpus. This paper mainly use comparative linguistics theory, methods of structural analysis of internal and external comparison with Chinese quantifiers, quantifier structure deriving Hmong own characteristics.The second part presents classifiers based on Hmong quantity’s category complex characteristics, through Central dialect quantifier with a different focus for classification based its classification summary, aiming to not only let readers understand the class of quantifiers Hmong from different points of view, but also make a prepare for future basic researching.The third part is about the Hmong quantifier structural analysis, mainly using comparative linguistics theory, carring out comparative analysis of the internal and external structure of Chinese quantifiers, seeking out the common grounds and differences between the two languages quantifier in order to more clearly summarize emergence quantifier structural characteristics of their own language, so that students are able to utilize Hmong bilingual better.The fourth part is mainly discuss the question of the collocations of Hmong quantifiers based on the cognitive level. There is a differet utilizing,due to differentcognitive models of all nationalities. During the studying, we found that by the same cognitive semantic field and highlight different characteristics between things, it will produce mapping makes metonymy mechanism occurs, and then be able to reasonably explain some reason with the use of quantifiers.Finally, the author of the study thinks scholars should consider multiple perspectives, different levels of analysis and study of the Hmong, in order to enrich the further national language.
