Expressing The Inner Truth - The Combination Of The Dream (subconscious) And The Work Of Art

The argumentation of this paper is divided into three major parts. In the first part, the representative dream artistic works of the Meddle Age, the Renaissance Period, the Romantic Period and the Surrealism Period of Europe are dissociated, and the works are analyzed one by one by means of exemplification & argumentation and closely combining with different understandings of people at different periods against the dream. In accordance with the objectivity of history and the cognition degree of people against the dream, different dream expressing approaches of artists in different periods and the different mental operation methods for dreams participating in artistic creation are summarized; it reveals that the dream artistic works are developing towards the increasingly personalized direction; meanwhile, the goal proving that the real emotion of artist is implicated behind the work is achieved through the picture analysis finally.In the second part, the view angle turns to the inland from Europe; works of four contemporary ink painting artists of China who seem to have no direct relation with the Sigmund Freud’s Theory are selected, and the analysis on them is carried out. It is found that they do not express the absurd surrealism logic deliberately, but their works are full of the strong subconscious meaning, which is the relatively underlying dream expression or subconscious expression of Chinese painting system.In the third part, the issue is guided to the own practice of the author, the self-inspect is carried out through dream and the reason for style change of work is found out through the exposition above. Meanwhile, the dream in the own creation process of the author is analyzed combining with the Freudian Theory. Thus, two kinds of childhood experience influencing the author are explored through the dream. Finally, the goal carrying out the self-inspect is achieved by recalling and explaining two kinds of significant childhood experience and their expressions in the dream. Meanwhile, these subconscious and dreams are applied to the graduation creation of the author. The final work is created. The goal of expressing the real emotion in heart is achieved.
