On The Application Of Metal Materials In The Creation Of Mural Painting

Most obvious changes occur in how artist understand the spirit of material, and how to select and use it in their work. With the great development in these years, modern mural already achieve highly diversified in both formal and material. It greatly extend development prospect of modern mural. Metal is one kind of material which very familiar to people since the Bronze Age. Metal has many good characters, as:unique shine, opacity, good malleability, damp-proof, thermo-stability, sturdy and durable, and plastically. Along with modern metal technology, metallic material plays a glorious role in mural. Modern metallic mural not only decorate the environment, but also affect life quality and behavior of people a lot. In this thesis, author analysis the characteristic of metallic material in form, color painting and texture, explore how metallic material used and decorated in different kinds of mural, also discussed it’s purpose and significance.
