In Jiarong Tibetan area, Gangpu Tibetan Village lies in the joint of Han, Qiang and Tibetan culture. The beliefs and customs here is different from other Tibetan areas, almost every family in Gangpu Tibetan village consecrates shrines of "heaven, earth, sovereign (country), parent, and teacher". With the development of the society, the types of shrines are changing. In the past, there was "Sadie", an old shrine decorated with decoupage, which changed into a new kind of "combined- cabinet" shrine with distinctive Tibetan style. Nowadays, the new shrine continues the cultural function of the old shrine, and it carries more practical functions and decorative functions at the same time.After the severe damage of the Cultural Revolution and the Wenchuan Earthquake on May 12,2008, the shrines didn’t disappear but bloom with new vitality. That was influenced by the external trend and factors of society but the internal cultural demands and choices. This article aims at presenting the inheritance and variability clues of Gangpu Tibetan Village’s development of culture and tradition under the background of tourism after the earthquake.This article includes introduction, body part and conclusion. In introduction, it introduces the general situation, research review, research methods, goals and significance. In the body part, the first chapter gives an introduction to the general situation of Jiarong Tibetan area, Li county, and Gangpu Tibetan Village. In the second chapter, it introduces the kitchen’s layout of the traditional residential areas in traditional Li country,and the shape and structure of shrines.In the third part, it introduces the basic change of form from architectural form to cultural tradition under the background of rebuilding after the earthquake and the development of tourism.The fourth chapter briefly introduces the morphological characteristics of the shrines in "Wutun" area, Li county, and comparedwith Gangpu Tibetan Village. The fifth chapter will give a summary. This article aims to record and inspect the shape, structure, the inheritance of relative cultural tradition, and the developmental and rheologic conditions of the shrines through the research on the shrines in Gangpu Tibetan Village.Reflecting the developmental and rheologic conditions of Jiarong Tibetan cultural tradition in Gangpu Tibetan Village in context of the development of tourism through the cultural changes of shrines. Furthermore, it will discuss how to choose the developing pattern which is forced by the outside planning and inner active choice for a bordered nationality village which is in the trend of cultural revolution and transformation.
