"Refusal" is an important linguistic phenomenon in the daily communication. It is also a very common and sensitive speech act. It is a kind of "threatening face saving behavior ". In the actual communication, people are inevitably encountered need to reject others. How to refuse is particularly important. However, in language usage, men and women have individual differences. This enables the language becomes more complex. To understand the differences between Chinese men and women in the use of refusal has a profound meaning on the international Chinese language teaching. By making an investigation of 60 Chinese people and 60 foreign students, through the discourse completion test to collect data. Making a contrast research of the Chinese people and foreign students in using refusals in Chinese language, to understand the situation of foreign students in the use of refusal, thus put forward the enlightenment for the teaching of Chinese as a second language.In this study, the combination of quantitative and comparative research methods, mainly from the aspects of the discourse surface utterance sequences model and using refusal strategies study men and women in the rejection of gender differences in language use, and to investigate the gender differences in different scenarios and different social distance under the influence of refusal strategies used, Chinese and foreign students in the different, so as to explore gender differences and the implications of international Chinese teaching. The main body of the thesis is divided into seven parts. The first chapter mainly includes the research origin, research significance, research review, concept definition, theoretical basis of introduction; the second chapter mainly introduces the research methods and research objects, and design the questionnaire and analyze the data; the third chapter mainly from the discourse sequence pattern, selection and use, the surface of the refuse strategies of different situations and different social distance under the influence of the use of refusal strategies of Chinese to gender differences in language use; the fourth chapter discusses the Chinese refusal of gender differences and differences in Chinese from the same angle; the fifth chapter mainly discusses the influence factors of Chinese refusal of gender differences the sixth chapter mainly from the compilation of; classroom teaching and textbook is put forward for international Chinese teaching; the last chapter. In this part, we sum up the gender differences in the use of refusal by Chinese and foreign students in this study, and analyze the deficiency of this paper.Through the research,we found that men and women in the rejection of gender differences in language use is very obvious, mainly from the use of appellation, the tone of the word use, auxiliary speech act and refusal strategies use; compared with authentic Chinese, foreign students still exist big problem in the use of the refusal strategies, mainly in the tone of the word little, rejected the more policy choice is too single. Aiming at the problems of the students, this paper puts forward the Enlightenment from two aspects of the teaching material compilation and classroom teaching.
