With the development of our society and the reform of the education system, the higher education institutions have taken the graduate student enrollment expansion policy. With the increasing of the graduate students, the problem of the graduate school time management is becoming more and more prominent. In our country, the cultivation of Master graduate students in Colleges and universities is to carry out the credit system, the different professional master’s degree graduate students are required to complete the different credits, and it is concluded that the master graduate student’s spare time is about 13 hours. However, a lot of Master graduate student did not spend the precious 13 hours effectively. Delay, Undisciplined and other issues are common to many of today’s graduate students. On the basis of literature review, combined with the previous research on time management behavior, adapted the "master’s spare time management questionnaire”, measured by the exploratory factor analysis, Organised the graduate students after-school time management questionnaire: structure, reliability and validity, through to 220 full-time graduate students conducted a questionnaire survey, statistical analysis of the results. The results show that:(1) the total time management behavior of Master graduate students in the school has a moderate level. Among them, after school time management consciousness of the highest score, then is the school time management control, school time management plan is the worst.(2) the leisure time management behavior of the female graduate students is higher than that of the male graduate students, but there is no significant difference.(3) there is a significant difference in the extracurricular time management behavior of Master graduate students in the grade, with the growth of grade, the time management behavior of postgraduates is gradually improved.(4) in research type, professional master graduate student after-school time management behavior score and the spare time management consciousness and after-school time management plan two dimensions were higher than those of the academic type master graduate student, but did not reach significant difference; in after-school time management and control the dimension and academic graduate of spare time management control is higher than that of the master of professional studies and reached a statistically significant level.(5) in the field of learning and research, engineering students’ spare time management behavior is higher than that of liberal arts students, science students’ extracurricular time management behavior is the worst.(6) the master of spare time is abundant, the majority of graduate students will spare time used in the professional learning, interpersonal and physical exercise, but there are also part of graduate students will spare time in playing games and sleeping on, with nearly half of the graduate students of their spare time management representation is not particularly satisfied, and graduate students to improve their own spare time management ability showing a trend of diversification.Through reading the relevant literature found that the predecessors for the management of spare time is still at the level of the questionnaire survey, in order to further explore the cognitive characteristics of the students after school time management behavior, the use of information technology to explore the relevant experimental results, as shown below:(7) the average number of clicks per click is the most pressing degree in the spare time management decision-making task, and the second is the importance, the intensity of motivation, the degree of value and the degree of difficulty.(8) in the spare time management decision-making tasks, the average search time of the boys was significantly higher than the average search time of girls; boys and girls were using the task based complex search mode, and the boy’s search pattern score was higher than girls’ search mode score, and reached the edge of the significant level.
