Because of the particularity of Chen’s Songs which is a chapter of The Book of Songs, it has been quite popular among the researchers from the ancient times. This paper will state the geography, history and regional culture first of all, then be based on the study of Chen’s Songs, do a deeper research by comparing the Chen’s Songs with the other poems in The Book of Songs and The Songs of Chu. The study aims to get to know the feature and individuality of Chen’s Songs in the general. By all means, the paper pays much attention to the differences between Chen’s Songs and the other poems of The Book of Songs, as well as The Songs of Chu. Also, the relations between Chen’s Songs and the other poems of The Book of Songs, and The Songs of Chu gets enough attentions. With the result, the paper will then make the cultural characteristics of Chen’s Songs clear. At last, it can be figured out just like Chen’s Songs is a transition between Central Plains Civilization and Jingchu Civilization, Chen’s Songs perform a special Shamanism and love view in literature, and so on.
