Reconstructing The New Space Of Art - On David Hockney 's Photographic Collage

David Hockney is one of the most influential international master of painting, known as "the most famous painter in Britain". In his career he relates to many fields of creation, painting,photography, stage design and Ipad drawing etc.. Although these creations with different media,but it is the expression of Hockney whole art idea and art emotion, is an integral part of his art.In many of his artistic creation. The author of the photographic collage unique insights: his work in collage expand the field of traditional photography, collage of photos in order to give the people a new visual experience. The space management idea and technique of his works subvert the focus perspective which was created in the Renaissance period, completely break the traditional dominance in the field of photography for a long time. This article is divided into three chapters: the first chapter mainly discusses the background of Hockney and his new way of viewing the world; the second chapter is the key chapter of this article, through in-depth study of Hockney’s photographic collage works, comparison and analysis of new space and traditional he created the difference of spatial perspective and unique to the author; his photographic collage works called "new Cubism", because the collage works is the inheritance and innovation in Cubism basis; then analyze its unique charm by Picasso and Braque; the third chapter discusses the significance of the new art photography spell with David Hockney, summarizes the artistic creativity and artistic value in contemporary art, tells us that creativity is the essence of art, the artist’s own revelation should take the initiative to break and reconstruct the language of painting, contemporary the artist should have the courage to face and analyze the limitations in the form of painting.
