According to the experiments result, British and American students pause bias mainly performance on three aspects, those are the frequency of pause, the position of pause, and the time of pause, especially in the ambiguous sentences. The causes of the bias are mainly because of linguistic transference, lack of relevant knowledge, textbook writing and teaching methods defects.
