When analyzing the vowels by experimental phonetics, its acoustic characteristic is mainly reflected in formant. That is to say, the formant is an indispensable basic information for vowel research. Meanwhile, the prosodic features of flow is the emphasis of word stress experimental phonetics study. According to these, the experimental phonetics study of the pure vowels’formant and the prosodic features of flow can be the main research methods for its comparison between Korean and Mongolian. A large number of Korean and Mongolian pronunciation data was studied as the basis. For the demand of experiment, Korean and Mongolian college students were chosen as the subjects. By the experimental phonetics method, comparative analysis and statistical analysis, the similarities and differences of the pure vowels and prosodic features of this two kinds of languages were picked out. In doing this, we tried to strengthen the weak link of the field of contrastive studyon Korean and Mongolian, together with colleagues. Also, hope to provide the basic reference information for the teaching of this two languages. The research idea is as follows:1. find out the pure vowels’resonant peak value of Korean and Mongolian, and on this basis, do comparative analysis.(1) by the analysis of the researches in related field inside and outside the country, sort out the similarities and differences of the pure vowel system of Korean language in North Korea, South Korea and China, as well as the Chahar dialect (Inner Mongolia) and the Khalkha dialect(Mongolia).(2) statistically analyze the resonance peak value of each pure vowel of Korean and Mongolian.(3) according to the analysis of pure vowel resonance peak, summarize the corresponding pure vowel of Korean and Mongolian, respectively. (4) by the contrast analysis of corresponding pure vowel of Korean and Mongolian, find out the similarities and differences between the two.2. according to the characteristics of the open syllables, closed syllables, compare the word stress of Korean and Mongolian by experiment phonetics.(1)do the experiment of the double syllable word stress in Korean and Mongolian, and on this basis, analyze the types such as cc, oc, oo, and summarize their basic characteristics.(2) based on the experiment of three syllable word stress in Korean and Mongolian, analyze the types ooo, coc, occ, oco, ooc, ccc, etc, and find out their basic characteristics.(3) by the comparative analysis of double syllables and three syllable pitch, sound intensity and duration of Korean and Mongolian, expound the relationship between each other.(4) compare the syllable stresses (pitch, sound intensity and duration) with similar pronunciation in Korean and Mongolian, and find out their similarities and differences in melody features. This article is the first to contrast the pure vowels and prosodic features of Korean and Mongolian by experimental phonetics method, having certain innovative meanings. Moreover, by the static analysis and dynamic study of this two languages, the acoustic characteristics of pure vowels and the prosodic features of word stress were understood, which was helpful for further research. There were not only certain theory values, but also certain practical significance.
