The Relationship Between Photography And Politics

After more than a century’s development, photography, as a branch of the arts has been affirmed by the history,and in the development of photography, its political function have sprung up, make it play an increasingly important role in the society, after that politics also promoted the advancement of photography.So in this paper,I will analysis and discuss the relationship between photography and politics.There are three chapters in the paper:the first chapter is introduction,which introduces the research background, research purpose and the method,meanwhile expound the logical relationship between photography and politics;the second chapter is most about the relationship between photography and politics in different geographical space,from different geographical space of human beings’ activities,sort by intercontinental areas, time for clue, take examples from the important photographers and their works in different continents,demonstrate the interaction between photography and politics.In the content of the demonstration, mainly is about the photographs’ motivational effect to the government’s behavior,especially in the terms of war and people’s livelihood,and the positive effects to the photography by politics;the third chapter is a conclusion,summarize the relationship between photography and politics in different geographical spaces, then combine the development status of contemporary photography,prospects the future relationship between them.The inextricably relationship between photography and politics comes from photography’s objective and detailed recording to the things,develops in the dependence by politics to photography.This relationship will exist for a long time,affecting people’s livelihood and promoting social progress.
