The aggressive rate is high in school. The psychological adjustment of aggressor/victim is a matter of serious concern. Studies have shown that coping is one of the important factor that can affect psychological adjustment. But the effect of coping and psychological adjustment is different in different people or different situation.The purpose in the current study was to explore psychological adjustment and the use of coping strategy and their relations in four aggressor/victim subgroup.Students who are from grade four to grade eight in anhui province participated in a one-year longitude study. To define aggressor/victim subgroups, the cutpoint which selected had been used by Schwartz.The results found that pure victims had worst psychological adjustment, exhibited lower self-perception and higher loneliness than children in the other aggressor/victim subgroups, more depressed than children classed as pure aggressors and normative contrasts. Pure victims have higher self-perception than normative contrasts. Aggressive victims exhibited higher loneliness and depression, lower self-perception than children classed as only aggressors and normative contrasts, lower loneliness, higher self-perception than children classed as pure victims.Additionally, When faced the problems, pure victims used lower problem-focused coping, aggressive victims used more emotion-focused coping.Additionally, for normative contrasts, the use of problem-focused coping at study year 1 could predict psychological adjustment at study year 2. The prediction didn’t found for the other aggressor/victim subgroups. For pure aggressors, self-perception and loneliness at study year 1 couldn’t predict the use of problem-focused coping at study year 2, for other aggressor/victim subgroups, the prediction exist. For pure victims and normative contrasts, emotion-focused coping at study 1 could predict self-conception at study 2, for the remain two subgroups, the prediction didn’t exist. For normative contrasts, emotion-focused coping at study 2 could be predicted by psychological adjustment at study year 1. But for the other subgroups, the prediction didn’t exist.
