Reflection And Exploration On The Artistic Creation Of Korean

This article is dominated by focus on drawing theme of Korean nationality during my creation process. Through investigation on the history of Korean nationality, I integrate some issues confronting conventions of Korean nationality in the contemporary era to my own drawing creation in an effort to utilize my drawing language to demonstrate my ruminations on the current situation of Korean nationality. During this process, I succinctly combed through history of the Korean nationality and in light of relevant researches, I have a more profound acknowledgement on my ethnic identity. This process runs through my college and graduate years and has been incessantly affecting my creation process in sub-consciousness.Starting from drawing theme of Korean nationality and combining with my comprehension and investigation on Korean nationality, this article expounds how my ethnic identity affects my mode of thinking and through what form my ethnic Korean identity is demonstrated in my works. This article is divided into four chapters. Chapter One briefly states formation history of Korean nationality and several classical samples concerning drawing themes of Korean nationality; Chapter Two stresses narration on impacts of drawing theme of Korean nationality exerted on my creation process. I deploy two creation means namely ink painting and oil painting to respectively account for classical works carrying themes of Korean nationality so as to indicate my perplexities on being an ethnic Korean and the process concerning my rumination on it; Chapter Three expounds my creation concepts as well as my recognition of the ethnic Korean identity by combining with my works for graduation; and Chapter Four reaches a conclusion that determination of my ethnic identity is a matter of returning to the ego pertinent to re-rumination on drawing theme of Korean nationality in the contemporary era.
