Since ancient times,China is famous as "a state of ceremonies". Etiquette culture has a long history, it has a far-reaching influence to our country. The origin and definition of the ceremony, the academic Public opinions are divergent., unable to agree on which is right, there is no final conclusion about the origin and definition of the Etiquette. But the academic circles mostly agree, The Etiquette generally includes two aspects: one is the external rite ceremony.As the object, system, ceremony. The ancient etiquette has strict level difference, different rank,should follow different etiquette is not the same. The palace and clothing diet, care, sacrifice,will be proportional to the birthright and can not transgression. The two is inside of the propriety. Junren loyal minister,the monarch should be merciful and the subordinates should be loyal,the father should be kind and the son should be filial.On the one hand specification the noble or humble, pecking order, on the other hand also highlights the inhernt virtue as love,loyalty, kindly and honor.Both external ritual or inherent propriety and justice, are not immutable, but with the times changing migration gains and losses. In Xia,Shang Dynasty, Nuo culture is considered to be the prototype of ceremony. After that,Zhou Gong make the ceremony and music, integrates the human virtues to etiquette, emphasizing the value of the morality and peoply, and according to this train of thought has developed the first week series of decrees and regulations system, has the profound influence to the later generation. Until the late Spring and Autumn, Confucius standard lift moral flag, in an attempt to restore the authority of the three generations of the ceremony, which opened the pre Qin Confucian ceremony. Confucius "Rites" by "etiquette" gradually improved perfectly justified, for the people, the metaphysical ultimate level of "propriety" and aided "benevolence" into the ritual, preliminary will "courtesy" and "benevolence" together. After Confucius, Mencius stressed that "benevolence" of the value,from the value of the goodness of human nature view, kernel transformation of the ceremony,the ceremony by the mandatory social and political norms change for internal moral category,benevolence and rite realized the further harmony. Xunzi chose the "ceremony", starting from the evil values, will play the ultimate function of the ceremony, and Nader in the ceremony under control. Confucius sustones, the kernel into the ritual; Mencius benevolence boxing,benevolence ceremony with the body; Xunzi aid law into rite, Confucianism as the case, with the traditional law. From Kong Zi to Meng Zi to Kong Zi, the development of the theory of rites is the development of the subject consciousness.In the pre Qin period, the subject consciousness experienced the development processfrom the "class" consciousness to the individual consciousness. Western Zhou Dynasty, people began to have differences in the nature of the universe and the group "class consciousness, but on their own understanding is still very vague, there is no clear individual consciousness. To the Spring and Autumn, with the development of productive forces and the continuous progress of the society, people’s understanding of their own, in this period of Confucian doctrine, it is a profound reflection of the human life and value of thinking. Confucius as the founder of Confucianism, to "benevolence" and "courtesy" as its ideological core content, the original,bound by destiny theology into the inherent ethics requirements govern, demonstrates its value and the individual meaning knowledge stripping out from a group. Mencius inherited and developed the thoughts of Confucius, give full play to its "benevolence" theory, and puts forward the subject personality goodness said, attributed the root of human and social development in people’s own subjective efforts further uplift. Xunzi summarize previous thought, the "ceremony" as the ideological system of the core, and put forward the theory of evil human nature, stressed that people should believe and the importance of its power. In addition, he also proposed "sub group" proposition, in-depth analysis of the human’s social attribute, individual value and the social value of unity, to achieve a leap of the development of human subjectivity.The system combing the thoughts of Confucius, Mencius and Xunzi studies on rites, aimed at the development track of the discussion Pre-Qin Confucianism embodied the human subjectivity, to explore the pre Qin ritual process of continuously deepening development, and people in the ceremony, the school leading role to play in the development process.
