From Confucius To Xunzi

This thesis mainly has a dynamic perspective of the evolution of Confucian Thought of The People as Boot in Pre-Qin Days on the basis of literatures of Pre-Qin Period and historical background at the time.Chapter I is a brief introduction to The Thought of The People as The Boot: Chapter II III IV are the main body of this thesis, respectively analyzing the Thought of The People as Boot from Confucius Mencius Hsun-Tzu on the basis of the thought achievements summed up by predecessors and social situations at the time. Confucius Mencius Hsun-Tzu, as the Confucian founders, each of them had great ambitions to save and govern the world, and carried out deep exploration about the Thought of The People as Boot which played an important role in politics. Although the Confucian essence of thought embodied on them was consistent and unanimous, the Thought of The People as Boot taken on them were of different features owing to their different days and personal dispositions.Chapter Vis a forecast about the Thought of The People as Boot in the future: market economy should not only put into effect, all kinds of democratic forms also be boldly adopted to enhance China ' s comprehensive national power which do favor to "by the people" .What we need to do most is taking action, not always getting entangled to endless quibbling over theoretical arguments. Practice will solve any problem of theory bothering us. Only in this way can we find the joint points between the Thought of The People as Boot and modern democratic systems.
