On The Intertextuality Of Akuning 's Novels

In recent years, Akunin is known in Russian literary circles, his detective novels are very popular on the Russian market, and even called "hot Akunin". At the same time, the intertextuality of his novels triggered discussion of domestic and foreign scholars. Cite and imitate classical works is the writer’s writing strategies. In Akunin’s works we can see the shadow of many domestic and foreign classical writers, such as the great Russian writers of the golden age-- Pushkin, Gogol, Dostoevsky,as well as the famous British detective novelist Conan Doyle, Stevenson.In this paper we study Akunin’s novels from two sides- obvious intertextuality and constitutive intertextuality. The main object of study is the adventures of Erast Fandorin and Pelagia. In addition to citing domestic and foreign classics, novels also keep the intrigue, thriller, adventure, superheroes and other elements of the traditional detective novels. This combination makes Akunin’s novels meet the expectation of all readers. This creative method significantly increased the literary character of the popular literature, reflects innovation of "new detective novel".Akunin use intertextuality to create a series of "code books", each reader can find own code in these books, the decryption process is a process of dialogue with the classics. This makes it possible to overcome the boundaries between elite and mass literature, significantly increased the number of readers. People of any age can find their own memories and aspirations in the book, so classical is continued from generation to generation. This is not only a writing strategy, but a human feelings.
