The Application Of Image Symbols In Decorative Painting

Decorative Painting is a unique art of painting, and it is an important component of modern art. Decorative painting went through a rapid development owing to its diversity and it is easy to be expanded. In the form of performance, decorative painting are no longer confined to the approach of "figurative" and "realistic", Decorative Painting is expressed by the combination of observation of objective things and the painting language. Surrealistic paintings of the 20th century can be said to be representative of abstract art, which Miro as a master of surrealis highly respected. His simple, unique way of painting has been a distinct representation. In the continuing process to explore natural organic type pictorial symbol, he informed his own unique painting symbolic language. In this paper, the principles of semiotics have been used to analyze the panting of Miro in terms of culture philosophy, image and symbolic manifestation application performance. Moreover in this paper, study of the symbolic elements in his painting from the aspect of line, color, composition, materials to explore emotional expression.After systematic analysis and research of the painting, it has been found that part of the pictorial symbols are from specific historical circumstances, the other part comes from his unique perspectives on objective things. Combination of the above analysis, this paper focuses on exploring and analyzing abstract forms and their application performance. Also the understanding and awareness of the pictorial symbols and the application of image symbol in of decorative painting have been studied.The pictorial symbol has its unique form of expression in the decorative paintings, and it is involved a high artistic value, In the creating process of decorative paintings, pictorial symbol should be applied sufficiently as it is helpful to opening up new approaches to achieve high artistic value.
