On The Expression Of Space In Graphic Illustration Art

In this day and age, diverse arts are gradually flourishing. Especially the art of illustration,which serves many fields in our lives, is getting more and more popular by the contribution of illustrators. The illustrator in this world showed their awesome ability in expressing the space in their artwork. Due to the multiple creative forms of illustrations, there are lots of ways created by illustrators to demonstrate space. For example, the method of perspective in western countries’ oil paintings and the three kinds of frames in Chinese traditional paintings. Except those, the illustrator also created many unique ways to express space. In this essay, I would gather and clear up all these methods and conduct a discussion about them. During the research, I found that those rich methods to express space mainly base on the special rule of visual perception and are affected by different culture backgrounds. The findings will be able to largely enhance the freedom for the illustrator to create work. Illustrators would be able to create artwork instead of copying the real world to their artwork.
