Contusion And Change Of National Art Foundation In American Cultural War

The National Endowment for the Arts is one of the largest independent agencies in federal government that is responsible for supporting the artistic creation, on behalf of the state’s public power responsible for culture and arts, and it has an irreplaceable role to motivate the development of American culture. This paper choose the National Endowment for the Arts during culture war as the research object, from the perspective of cultural conflict to the analysis of this special period which around the political game and the decisions made by the National Endowment for the Arts. The proposed national endowment for the arts in contusion, execution and to change this situation, and this situation as the logic behind the art with the United States to support policy crating, how to explore the change of national arts policy support by the national endowment for the arts of contusion and reflected in the change.This paper mainly adopts literature research, combining the theory of cultural policy research tools, set up the conflict centered analysis framework, to culture the camps during the war, the essay discusses the results and the analysis of decision making and political game, through the historical research method and comparative research methods, sorts out different faction represents the collective and attitude, to examine how to use the contusion and reform of the national endowment for the arts insight into the art of the United States support policy and the change of the discourse.
