2013 Nobel Prize for Literature was awarded to the Canadian woman writer Alice Munro(Alice Munro, 1931-) the "master of the contemporary short story." It is the first time that the prize was awarded to a short story writer in the Nobel Prize of more than100 years history. Munro’s novel with the features about "fragments" "the reversal of time and space" "apocalyptic", meanwhile which can also "express a kind of integrity, a complete life experience in very short space, and indicate philosophy contained ".Rich experience and profound philosophic expression of life, benefit from its unique structure of narrative art. The uncertainty of characters, narrative of fragmentation and collage, the narrative of the delay and the fate of the characters of metaphor and irony, shows some form of post-modern writing.The feature of narrative description itself coincides with the meta-fiction theory. Based on the reading and combing of Alice Munro’s collections of short stories, like "Dear Life" "Too Much Happiness " "Hateship,Friendship,Courtship,Loveship,Marriage" and "Run Away",this paper focuses on the analysis of texts, such as "Dear Life" "Hateship,Friendship,Courtship,Loveship,Marriage" "Face" "The Bear Came Over The Mountain" and "Dolly". By closing reading and analyzing of the texts, the paper attempts to clarify Munro unique short narrative feature, and the value and significance of the narrative feature for the current and future literary creation and literary theory.
