Kinship terms in a simple of words reflect the language complex kinship to users, as a kind of language phenomenon, to some extent, it can reflect it can reflect the language usersbelong to the features and the status of the language system. At the same time,language as the carrier of culture, kinship terms also reflect some cultural phenomena in the communities of the language users.Gelao language is one of the world’s endangered language. So far,Academia for study of the Gelao language, involved in pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, as well ascomparisonresearchesofGelao languageand cognatelanguage.By comparison,there are few researches for kinship terms of Gelao language.The paper will be that Kinship terms of Gelao language in Dagouchang serve as studying a object, through looking up relevant literature and fieldwork in Dagouchang to Kinship terms of Gelao language arrangement to make questionnaires,then author will analysis questionnaires by statistical data to systematically descript Kinship terms of Gelao language in Dagouchang. Using those ways aim to enrich the ontology research of the Gelao language from the perspective of linguistics and cultural linguistics. Meanwhile,compared with Chinese kinship terms, the paper will find similarities and differences between both. It is not difficult for us to understand that language is cultural representation, carries a lot of cultural information; at the same time, language as a system of independent is relatively stable and isn‘t easily to be affected by comparison.The paper is divided into five parts: the first part, the introduction mainly introduce the significance of this paper, the related research background and research methods. The second part describes the system of the kinship terms of Gelao language in Dagouchang. The third part, it mainly discusses characteristics of the kinship terms of Gelao language in Dagouchang by the structure type of kinship terms as well as the types and categories of kinship terms system and category structure. The fourth part, through the comparative study of Chinese kinship terms, reference, an American anthropologist, Murdoch’s the six-point method which is a study ofkinship terms,the paper discusses the similarities and differences on word-building, the system of lineage of kinship terms, which are language of different banches in same dialect system.the five pait, conclusion.
