Kinship terms not only reflect complicated relationship between people but olso the social structure and culture in different societies Chinese and Malagasy kinship terms belong to different kinship system and there are great differences between them.Malagasy and Chinese languages have their unique kinship term systems. This paper assignment attempts to make a comparison between Malagasy and Chinese terms and find out the cultural factors. The main reasons for cultural differences lie in the patriarchy concept, religious belief, family structure, social nature.
