An Analysis Of The Reasons For The Prosperity Of New And Right Forces In Japan

In21Century, the new right wing groups in Japan have become an importantforce in the influence of Japan’s foreign policy, it has penetrated into all aspects ofJapanese society and has exerted a great influence on Japan’s politics, economy andculture. Especially in recent years, under the background of the rightward shift inJapanese domestic politics and frequent territorial disputes with neighboring countries,lucubrating the reason and effects of new right-wing forces’ development and rise hasan important and practical significance for the settlement of the present contradictionof Sino-Japanese and Japan-South Korea, promoting the healthy development of thepeace in East Asia. First of all, this paper has made a definition of the right wing inJapan, then elaborating the historical and cultural background of its appearance andthe process of its development. In addition, this paper has studied its new dynamic inthe21st century, such as: the representative organization, its way of activity and scopeof influence, the representative characters. From which we have learned that newright-wing in Japan has become a key factor of affecting domestic and foreign affairsof Japan society in the21st century. What’s more, this paper has described four formsof new right-wing in Japan in the21st century: contradiction of emperor history, racialsuperiority, denying and beautifying invasion history, striving for political power, andrevising the pacifist constitution. Based on the review of domestic and international,this paper analyzes the reason why new right-wing forces can rise in Japan. From thedomestic perspective, the support of financial group and politics, the sluggish ofJapan’s domestic economy, and the indulgence, encouraging attitude of the Japanesegovernment towards to the new right-wing force are the survival soil of the new rightwing in Japan. And from the international perspective, the United States, Europe,China, Korea and other countries lead to the rise of new right wing in Japan. Finally,this paper analyzes the influence of new right-wing on Japan’s foreign policy fromthree aspects: Japanese-South Korea, Japanese-The US and Sino-Japanese relations.Nowadays, we should strengthen vigilance to the new right-wing, prevent the revivalof Japanese militarism thought. Seeking common interests between the two sides, and developing friendly relations of cooperation, are necessary to achieve peace andstability in East Asia area.
