After the Cold War, promoting FTA strategy became the focus of many countriesforeign policy. The EU had repeatedly asked the United States to talk "trans-Atlanticeconomic integration" program, but the United States has always been lukewarm.Early last year, President Obama announced a high-profile talks "transatlantic tradeand investment partnership" with the EU, showing that the U.S. economic policymake major adjustment. The paper intends to Europe from the United States attitudeon the issue of free trade zones sudden turn research.The first chapter discusses the relationship between "free trade zone" and"economic diplomacy", pointing out that the former is an important way of the latter.The second chapter describes the efforts of the United States and Europe that promotethe two sides "transatlantic economic cooperation " aspect made, a brief analysis ofthe causes of NTA, NTM, TEP has failed. The third and fourth chapters focus on theUnited States "trans-Atlantic trade and investment partnership" negotiations timingconsiderations and interest considerations. Finally, it is, especially the impact ofUS-EU FTA on the world political and economic situation.This paper has two important conclusions: First, the U.S. and Europe," thetransatlantic trade and investment partnership " after talks highly of bilateraleconomic integration a natural product, seemingly by chance, it is inevitable;Second, the United States at this time to accept the EU to build self-Free Trade Areaof the proposal, in addition to considerations of the international situation, the moreof a response to requests from the industry to re-differentiation of domestic interestportfolio.
