The United States is the world’s largest vehicle-owned country. In order tocope with the high risk which the motor vehicles accidents bring with, it has thematurest auto insurance system in the world. American insurance system has changedfrom voluntary insurance to compulsory liability insurance, as well as it has variedfrom the conventional tort system to no-fault insurance in history. Since1971,Personal Injury Protection law has being passed in Massachusetts.It is the first timeno-fault auto insurance system has been defined lawful and legitimate. Numbers ofstates implemented this law in the next few years. But there are enormouscontroversies between the states enacted this system. Some states even has repealedthis law. Based on the practice of the no-fault auto insurance law in the twentiethcentury, combined with the vehicle in the "Road Traffic Safety Law" and"Compulsory Traffic Accident Liability Insurance Regulations" as stipulated inChina’s current compulsory traffic accident liability insurance, and in particular applythe "no duty payment system" and "self-collision pay" system. Look for theinspiration and reference to Chinese automobile insurance law.
