Mao Zedong’s anti-corruption thought is critical inheritance of Marx, Engelsand Lenin’s thoughts on anti-corruption and traditional Chinese culture., which cannotbe separated from the historical and practical experience drawn from China’s reality.The fruitful results born by Mao Zedong’s anti-corruption thought have been used asmethods to deal with practical problems in China. For example, Mao Zedong usedideological and political education as a way to eliminate corruption from within,which meshed with external regulations in order to control the overall situation. Theseexperience summarized in this paper can offer a guiding light and a powerful weaponto today’s anti-corruption practice. This paper is dedicated to discussing MaoZedong’s anti-corruption thought from the following aspects: the basis on which thesethoughts have been developed; the connotation of these thoughts and the modernvalues of these thoughts. |
