To The "commensurate" Alliance

Mass line, by which we should abide forever, is the heirloomand heart’s-blood of the Communist Party of China (CPC). It isthe Party’s good tradition and core work to participate mass work.In these years of revolution, thanks to the policy of mass line andmass work, the Party united with the mass and won theAnti-Japanese War and Civil War finally. In time of peace, weshall owe all of our constructional achievements and success ofthe development and reform to the masses. It is clearly that wewill never be able to build a modern China without the supportand dedication of the people. However, we have to admit that,nowadays, some internal contradictions emerge between the CPCand the mass–some cadres don’t know how to take part in masswork, or don’t dare to do that, or are reluctant to do so. Theseshortcomings are the main factors that lead to variouscontradictions. On the contrary, our party has always paidhighlights to mass work and has accumulated a lot of experienceand feasible solutions. Standing at the watershed of history, weconsider it an important point to learn from the failures andexperiences of the past.In this thesis, due to its unique revolutionary stories andsymbolic significance, we take the Yimeng-a mountainousregion famous for its dramatic victories during the period ofAnti-Japanese War and Civil War-as the research target. Yimengwitnessed the development and success of our party, i.e., it is thetrial site of the party’s mass work. And the trial proved that themass work is the key point of our success. Rising up during the wartime, Yimeng Spirit, the love for the Party and army,forging ahead, hard work and selfless devotion, defines therelationship between the Party and the people as the fish andwater, which is closest and inseparable. It is the true reflection andpractice result of the Party’s mass line, the vivid recurrence andvaluable experience of mass work, and moreover, the powerfulfaith that enlightens the road of Yimen People to forge aheadunder the guideline of the CPC.This thesis consists of two main parts: the introduction andthe main text. Other parts, such as abstract, references andpostscript, are presented accordingly.The main text consists of five chapters:Chapter One:Background introduction of the Yimen Base, including the basicinformation, development of the Party and the establishment ofthe stronghold. Chapter Two and three: Process analysis of themass work in Yimeng Base for the items of the work conductedby the Party therein. Chapter Four: Conclusion of the features andexperience of the Party’s mass work in Yimeng Base based onhistorical facts.Chapter Five: Summary of the abovementionedchapters and inspiration educed thereby-the Party and the massesare in alliance with each other.In short, based on recalling and classification of the Party’smass work conducted in Yimeng Base, we hope that this thesismay offer enlightenment to the mass work of the CPC in thefuture.
