A Review Of Studies On The History Of British Political System Since 2005

In recent years, the Chinese government is committed to the building of political civilization, the reform of the political system become the focus of the attention of the community. And since1980, the history of the British political system has been a vary active research area in mainland China. In recent years, the research in this field has developed further, and covers more new areas when its research perspectives and research methods become diversified, the trend of linking the reality of Chinese society and British experience on political restructuring has also been strengthened. This paper reviews mailand Chinese scholars’research on the history of the British political system since the late Qing Dynasty and focuses on the research achievement of mainland Chinese scholars in related fields since2005.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is an introduction, this part discusses the significance of the topic, research status, and explained some concepts which will be discussed in this article such as"political system"," history of political system" to distinguish them from " political history "," history of political thought."In this way,we can limit the research scope of this article.The second section outlines the development of mainland Chinese research of the British political system history before2005, focuses on the study of mainland Chinese scholars on the history of the British political system since1980,and introduce some representative works during this period.The third part probe into the development of traditional academic areas of the British political system history in mainland China, and review the research achievement in traditional field since2005such as British civil service system, the constitutional system, cabinet system, parliamentary system, political party system, etc.The fourth part describes the development in the newly expanded field of the history of the British political system in mainland China since2005. British judicial system and local autonomous systerm are new hotpots in research of British political systern history in mainland China in recent years, this paper made a more detailed investigation on these recent achievements and contentions in these new academic field.The fifth part explore the characteristics and inadequacies of research in this field during this period, and put forward some proposals aiming at the deficiencies.
