Confucianism And Marxism In China

Sinicization of Marxism is not only the universal principles of Marxism andthe combination of Chinese revolution’s concrete practice and socialist construction’sprocess, but also the process of Marxism combining with Chinese culture. As thebasic content of Chinese traditional culture, Confucian culture and Confucianismhave the extremely profound influence on Chinese society. In order to spread anddevelop the thought of Marxism has to be associated with the Confucian in China. SoMarxism must be critical inheritance of Confucian thought. There are four sections tostudy the relationship between sinicization of Marxism and Confucianism as thesubject in this paper.The first section is about a comprehensive overview of sinicization of Marxismand Marxism must be combined with traditional Chinese excellent culture. Marxismmust treat Confucianism and their combination seriously. But the combination of bothMarxism and Confucianism is not accepting it without critical inheritance ofConfucianism.From the practice theory of Confucianism and the Marxism to express thecultural issues, including faith, moral responsibility, the livelihood of the people,democracy, in order to interpret the positive thought of Confucianism to influence thecontemporary society. In Marxist theory, Mao’s theory of contradiction reflectssubjective and objective, theory and practice, the unification of the knowledge and thespecific historical. All of them are similarity with Confucianism in the second part.This part shows Marx’s dialectics methodology provides people with a commonmind. Confucianist dialectics is highest science of wisdom of Chinese people at thattime in China, Confucianism stresses will be integrity dynamic thinking abouteverything. That leads Confucianist dialectics and Marx’s dialectics have same topics and commons.The Angle of the philosophy of history illustrates the sinicization of Marxistphilosophy, and also need to critically absorb and inherit the Confucian philosophy inthe final part.
