The South China Sea dispute has heated up sharply in recent yearsand has become a sensitive issue between China and Some SoutheastAsian Countries, which attracted close attention from around the world. This issue has also been taken as a major instrument by the United Statesto advance its Asia-Pacific Rebalancing Strategy and contain thedevelopment of China. Properly handling and eventually settling theSouth China Sea dispute has posed a great challenge before China andwill remain so in the years to come. The essay adopted history-research method, analyzing andsummarizing as well as logic reasoning to unveil the interactive relationsbetween the evolution of the South China Sea issue and the overall worldpolitical structure, so as to demonstrate that the dispute over territorialsovereignty and maritime rights in the South China Sea is an inevitableoutcome of the world politics and overall situation. Some enlightenmentcould then be reasoned out that when addressing the South China Seaissue in future, we must build our specific policy thoughts on observing, analyzing and grasping the overall international situation.
