A Study On The Problem Of Providing For The Aged In Rural Areas From The Perspective Of Filial Piety Culture

Abstract:As the degree of China’s aging population more deeper, supporting especially the rural supporting has become inevitable for the government and the social from all walks of life.The rural supporting is not only an economical problem, but also a cultural practice.This article studies the rural supporting problem from the perspective of the filial piety culture, which is under the cultural background of the rural community, rather than fixation in the clan system, to research the realistic rationality supporting function of filial piety.This paper includes the following five parts:The first part is the analysis of various factors about the social changes has an impact on the rural supporting, such as the weak sense of filial piety, social mobility, family structure and so on. And through the materials from my depth interviews lead to the plight of supporting.Moreover, account for theoretical paradigm and analysis methods and means.The author adopts the method of individual cases to illustrate the concept of "filial piety", from the family and the community level, analyze the meaning of filial piety, embody filial piety as inter-generational relations, community order and generalizing the internal logic.The second part is the investigation situation.lt presents specific social and cultural scene.The survey site is the village named Zhu xiaoqiu in the north of Henan province, it is a local community, main family name is Zhu, mixed Kang, Sun, Chen and so on.People create history and tradition of the village in the long-term living.The third part embodies the filial piety culture as intergenerational reciprocity relationship, to explain the asymmetry of two generations and symmetric of three generations,then in the family idea study how the social change strengthen of intergenerational asymmetric relationship, for the realistic utility on rural supporting of filial piety culture, the filial piety culture is embodied in our daily life, and use the correlation theory to analyze rural supporting function of filial piety culture in family and community.The fourth part content is in custom order how the rural supporting way operate and maintain.From some elderly parents’ chilling story,the author talks about the binding of custom order in the local community.Then from the face, gossip and social punishment, filial piety and rural supporting patterns are maintained in the community. Finally commodity economy has impact on the rural supporting, and the custom is how to transcend the logic of market exchange.Eventually people practice and carry forward the filial piety in the process of rural supporting. The fifth part is conclusion.Carrying forward the filial piety is for the sake of harmonious rural supporting.The spiritual and ritual of rural supporting are emphasized. The filial piety culture is contained in daily life for the pursuit of human value and dignity.It is this pursuit to endow the traditional filial piety culture with infinite vitality.It is also the pursuit of human value and dignity to give people the common recognition and understanding of filial piety culture and "parents’grace". These formed the basis of the God of Community.People construct the spiritual community.So exploring the rural supporting problems don’t leave the base.Social change can bring the change of lifestyle, commodity economy impacts the traditional values, but the pursuit of value and dignity will be immutable over time.Humanistic value and spiritual strength contained in the filial piety culture which reflect changing and keeping rule in the process of cultural changes.As some scholars said only when a culture can change at the appropriate time, and keep it at the appropriate time,it possesses a thriving vitality.It’s beneficial for solving rural supporting to renew filial piety culture and supporting idea.
