Engels' Study On The Fake And Shoddy Problems In British Social Transformation

View from the existing literature, we pay too much attention to the uptodate study of counterfeit and inferior goods, which has an established pattern of analyzing problems,finding out reasons and putting forward countermeasures; But the counterfeit problem is the result of specific social development stage, it makes difference in different historical stages, the role of various causes played in different historical stage varied, the effect of the various countermeasures is subsequently different. So we need do more diachronic research on the counterfeit problem.Social transition period is the period of social problems, social problems during this period with the social transformation has a close inner link. In 19 th century Britain was in the midst of the disintegration of feudal society, capitalist system established by the transitional period; the natural economy gradually disintegrated and the market economy gradually established. In the transformation period, the counterfeit problem in UK was very serious. Engels in the British working class status has made a more detailed description and analysis. Later, as the system of capitalism established and perfected the market economy, the counterfeit problem relieved. In 1892, Engels reprint the British working class status, in the preface he explains the ease of counterfeit problem, and analyzes the reasons.Since China’s reform and opening up, in the process of socialist model transformation(from the Soviet model to the model of socialism with Chinese characteristics), in the process of planned economy to market economy transition, the counterfeit problem appeared. Diachronic and comparison research on the counterfeit problem from the Angle of development not only help to find out reasons and the law of development, but also help to improve the countermeasures’ pertinence and effectiveness.
