| It has been more than two years since the third telecommunication reformation, this reformation has adjusted the unbalance of telecommunication industry to some extent. However, systematic defects are still there. We need to make the telecommunication market well-balanced, Mobile Number Portability (MNP), as one of the most effective method, has been used by many telecommunication operators in other counties.First of all, the thesis introduced the technology and the current status of Mobile Number Portability (MNP), and did a brief analysis of the feasibility of MNP in our country, then it selected MNP/SRF from many other solutions, which is recommended in 3GPP, as the method to implement the MNP functionality in 3G core network. Based on the current core network architecture, realized the mobile number portability functionality in signaling layer by add, reduction, update, convert of the messages or parameters of related protocols. The thesis elaborated each MNP and redirection related message and parameter, the signaling handling in the mobility management, call handling, signaling transition module within on node, and the signaling flow between nodes. Finally, take one complete MNP call handling flow as example to verify the implementation. |
