Design And Research Of Embedded Data Acquisition System Based On GPRS

With the development of Information Technology and Digital Technology in recent years, especially with the large requirement of Internet and multimedia communication, the most fascinating technologies are focused on wideband communication network and mobile communication in the field of communication technology. GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) connect wideband (e.g. Internet) with wireless communication network, so GPRS can be widely applied in Internet, remote mobile management and remote control. In this dissertation, a new automatic meter reading system based on GPRS is presented to meet the application for GPRS in data transfer of wireless remote monitoring system. This scheme utilizes direct connection between GPRS network and Internet, setting a center server in Internet to take the charge of data communication with GPRS terminal units for real-time data acquisition and transfer.First GPRS technology and embedded system are introduced this paper. Then present status and development prospects of wireless remote monitoring system are summarized. Last the project that GPRS is applied in wireless data acquisition system is given, system functions and capabilities are also designed.According to the given scheme, the dissertation designed the model of wireless data acquisition system, and carried on the research to software and hardware key technique realization of the each link. Main completed works include: realize embedded data acquisition module hardware and software. The part work of hardware include: design function of hardware module, select equipment of GPRS module and microprocessor, design and debug circuit board; The part work of software include: applied SOCKET technology and TCP/IP protocol to realize data communication program, and applied field meter protocol to realize data acquisition program, so that achieve the PC monitoring software design and the module acquisition function. In this system the PC uses as a server, and the modules use as clients. They communicate through GPRS network.In the end the capability of this system is tested.
