With the development of communication, electronics and computer, the industrial control system has changed so much and has the requirement of higher real-time characteristic, such as the quicker transfer of information, quicker control of filed devices, quicker display and operation of supervisor. The real-time characteristic has important effect to the entire control system. So researching and optimizing the real-time characteristic of control system is very important.The real-time characteristic of filed control, signal process, display and operation has been entire analyzed in this paper. The key technology relation to real-time has been researched such as software and hardware of control unit, industrial communication network. The optimizing design method has been put forward aiming at control system of ECS-100. And this method has been testified according to the realization of ECS-100X.Five chapters are included in this paper. Chapter 1 introduced the concept and application of real-time and analyzed the real-time characteristic focused on DCS, FCS and Industrial Ethernet. And then in chapter 2, the real-time characteristic of industrial control network had been analyzed in detail. The industrial Ethernet had been analyzed and the optimizing method had been summarized.Chapter 3 is the key of this paper.This chapter was mainly focused on the optimizing design of system real-time characteristic. Firstly, the two choke points of real-time characteristic was finded out in control system of ECS-100. Secondly, the optimizing design was proposed in order to solve these problems. This optimizing design mainly included the optimizing of software and hardware of control units, industrial communication network and some key function of control system.Chapter 4 described the design of ECS-100X using the optimizing design which this paper had put forward. According to the practical testing and the analyzing of test data, the real-time characteristic had been improved. Some valued suggestions which can be used to improve the real-time characteristic of ECS-100X had been put forward. Chapter 5 is the last, but not the least. This chapter summarized this paper and prospect the future of real-time charatoristic.
