With the development of the network technology and the appearance of NGN, the request of communication with each others upon IP network that support voice, video, data for multimedia communication is increasing. At this background, the IETF advice SIP to be an application layer signaling control protocol used to manage the multimedia communication session created on the IP network. It is simpler than H.323 protocols, and more convenient for developer to develop new applications. SIP server position at the center of the SIP architecture, it mainly responsible for the routing of SIP datagram and also for user's register and location informations redirection. It plays a very important role in user's mobility and distribution of function. Key points of this thesis: Firstly, I introduced the background, generation, current status, applications and advantages of SIP. And then introduced the principle and related protocols of IP phone technology. Then we descripted the SIP element and service layers, progress of message processing. Bind with the embedded system technology and the oSIP, we design and realize an embedded SIP server and experiment it. |
