Research Of IP Phone Terminal Based On TMS320VC5471

Recently Internet vocal operation, namely IP phone, is a new technology that developed quickly in worldwide range. It changes circuit switching that traditional phone relies on into package switching. So Internet resource is effectively utilized to implement the transmission of vocal signal. This makes the range of vocal communication larger and the cost less. Therefore, IP phone attracts lots of attention as "phone of next generation". Researching and developing of IP phone is one of the important tasks during the development of our country's information industry. It is meaningful to the economic construction of our country.According to the feature of IP phone system, we develop a terminal device of IP phone based on TMS320VC5471 processor. It's mainly discussed in this dissertation that the hardware and software system of IP phone terminal.First of all, it's briefly introduced that the main principle of IP phone system and IP phone terminal. Then it's the design of system structure. Afterwards, it details the theory and the method of building hardware platform, including the connection of CPU, memory, network interface, codec and other I/O interface. Whereafter, the way of protracting PCB is introduced. And this dissertation also gives the process and the method of debugging, including debugging tools and principles. In the end, porting ofμCLinux operation system is introduced.After finishing of hardware and bottom software design, we could develop relative VoIP(Voice over IP) Protocol, then our IP phone terminal could communicate over Internet.
