Nearly 300 web-base courses passed the official acceptance of the Ministry of Education at the end of 2003. In the field of the building of web-based curriculums, summarizing the experience and lessons is becoming the hot spot. Some distance education colleges start innovation of the current building mode of Web-based curriculums.They face two significant aspects,.One is how to make the Web-based curriculums building Sustainable Development and the other is how to manage the workflow more efficiently. I participated the Web-based curriculum project at the distance education college in East China Normal University, we attempted to use project management method to manage the web-based curriculums project primarily and we achieved success. The paper tries to apply the PM method in the web-based curriculums building management based upon practice.I expect to make further promotion in theory. My work are the followings.Firstly ,I analyse the current situation of web-based curriculums management and summarize the existent problems. I discuss the necessity and feasibility in the view of Quality Control.Secondly, I discuss how to identify activities, to distribute resourses and to make project schedules using the PM method. I use the WBS tool and PDM tool.Thirdly, I analyze the reasons why the communication conflicts can happen and try to find solutions to them.Fourthly, as to the quality control of the web-based curriculums, the paper is based on two qulity control models including process quality management model and durative quality management model.At last the system module of web-based PM for web-based curriculum building management is designed. In adition, the main technologies are discussed comprehensively. All these efforts are expected to contribute to the higher efficiency of information communication.
