The thesis analyzed the characteristics of CAT systems in the market, brought forward the conception and realization methods of an opening and assistant platform of examination based on the Internet.First of all, the thesis gives the basic definition of long-distance education, introduces the important status of online exam system in modern distance education. The thesis analyzes the characteristics of long distance testing systems home and abroad, studies the exploitation methods of Web application system and brings forward a conception of an Opening and Assistant Platform of Examination based on .NET technology.And then, the thesis describes the design of functional modules, databases and the three-layer system architecture of the platform in details; the thesis also describes some main functions, such as maintenance of the problems, exam management, examinees management and checking paper and paper analysis.At last, the system integrates the long-distance video monitoring system in order to enable this platform more operational. The managers can carries on more effective management conveniently to the examination place and the test process through the integration of long-distance video monitoring system in customer end and server end. The thesis gives out the design and realization of the video monitoring system both in customer end and server end, and carries on the discussion to the related technology about video information transmission.
