| PanGan Hot Strip Mill is a large plants for hot steel coil, It's mainline automatic system is two levels, The level 1 is basic automatic control system, and Level 2 is process control system, Level 2 controls the furnace area,rough mill area and finish mill area, it's main function is data traffic,steel rolling tracing,the model calculating for setup and the sampling for the rolling data. The process system will save a mass of data for model data,setup data and sampling data. After the technique reform in 2003, the ORACLE database system replaced the file system, each data for the process system is saved in the ORACLE database system, and the ORACLE Net 8 is used for the communication between the process servers. How to design a good database system in process system, and how to tune the Oracle system become a important problem for PanGan Hot Strip Mill after technique reform.This paper introduce the ORACLE database application system in PanGang Hot Strip Mill Process System for architecture,designing principle and ways. analyzes all kinds of performance problems that may occur on Database Server,application programs, OS and network during the running of Database application system. Then put forward some usual methods to settle them based on Oracle databse. Tuning for Databse Server includes the tuning for memory and I/O. In order to tune memory we describe how to improve the sharing for memory; And the tuning for I/O mainly includes decreasing the contention of I/O by reasonable distribution of physical and logical strcture, adjusting the storing of data. The tuning of application programs mainly includes the optimizing of SQL, and put forward some tips for tuning SQL. While discussing the tuning of OS and network, this paper emphasizes how to increase the resource serving for database by reducing the resource taking up by other applications, and how to improve the performance of network by adding the bandwidth on network. |
