As the continuous growth of urban area, the traditional operation of the pipeline networks for water supply which controlled mainly by manual coordination is no longer to meet the need of the current water supply system. Therefore, to intensify the capability of remote data acquisition and monitor in the urban pipeline networks is a great and far-reaching significance to the development of a whole city. In order to improve the quality of water supply in a city and raise the efficiency of the operation of water supply system, use the computer-based monitor and control system for urban water supply networks is an inevitable trend for the development. Take into account the management characteristics of water pipeline networks, this paper puts forward to establish a system by using GPRS wireless terminal for remote data acquisition and transmission based on GPRS networks and Internet technology. This article firstly, makes an analysis on the characteristics of GPRS wireless system and its application in SCADA system, and then it offers an overall scheme in combination with the characteristics of monitor and control system for the water supply networks. The scheme includes three parts: control center, remote terminal and remote data communication. |
