| The basic principle of OFDM isto split a high rate data stream into a number of lower rate streams that are transmitted simultaneously over a number of subcarriers. The benefits of OFDM are lower multi-path distortion, resiliency to inter symbol interference and high spectral efficiency. In this thesis, basing on the FFT algorithm, a based-band OFDM system is analyzed, designed and simulated on a computer. The thesis mainly consists of four parts : the basic principle of the system of OFDM,the analysis of the model of the system of OFDM,the system design of OFDM,the system simulation of OFDM and the analysis of the results. The part of the basic principle of OFDM introduces the basic principle of many technologies that are used in OFDM and its whys in particular .The part of model ananlysis analyses the traditional continuous model of the system of OFDM , also establishs the discrete model of the system based on the continuous one. At last we establish the model that is used in this paper through improving the intrinsic discrete model. The part of system design introduces the components of the moduls of the system and the principle of the design. We use two modulations QPSK and 16QAM , as well as convolution encoding in channel encoding. In the end we give a system of baseband OFDM.Meantime it also introduces the model of channel used in this simulation and the principle of its simulation. The fourth part is mainly about the simulation of the baseband system and analysis of the results. In conclusion, an integrated baseband OFDM system is designed and simulated, which provides lots of useful data for realizing the system and for advanced research. |
