First, how to select the super-resolution algorithm which adapt to be hardware implemented,the hardware design of the image super-resolution processing system and the software design of it are introduced in this paper.In order to enhance image by super-resolution in real-time and offline, a image super-resolution processing system based on FPGA and DSP is designed. In this system, video is degressive sampled by FPGA in the part of pretreatment, is super-resolution hardware-enhanced in two classical algorithms by FPGA and DSP in the part of processing. By this system, the object of high-speed real-time super-resolution hardware-enhancedment image processing was achieved finally.For hardware design of this system, this paper narrates it in three parts by the differences of the hardware circuit. For software design of this system, this paper study the program design of the major chip on this system and do a lot of works about the optimization methods of DSP. The test results revealed that the modularize design method and the optimization measure of DSP can improve the system performance and enhance image by super-resolution in real-time and offline.
