At present, TFT-LCD(Thin Film Transistor-liquid crystal display) will become the main display products of the Flat Panel Displays,depending on the its many advantages,such as low power consumption,a great deal of information,high brightness,high contrastion,low cost of materials and high automation etc.With the technology of LTPS(Low Tempreture Poly Silicon) development,it has been possible that TFT-LCD will be integrated potentially.The techonology can make TFT-LCD lighter and thinner and it is beneficial to improve the reliability and displaying performance of TFT-LCD from circuit design.Much work of this paper has been done in the TFT-LCD technology,mainly focusing on the TFT-LCD pixcel circuit structure design and parameters assurance,the peripheral driving circuitsintegrated on the substance for p-Si TFT-LCD.The main work and content are sum up as follows.The dissertation consists of seven chaptes.In chapter 1,it briefly introduces history and present researchsituation of the TFT-LCD ,our progress information on TFT-LCD technology.Introduce research content and principal work in this paper.In chapter 2,we introduce the design and driver peripheral of TFT-LCD,the driver technology.Empression the reason why we choose the p-Si TFT driver. In chapter 3,we introduce Level62 RPI model and its characters of p-Si TFT that is main compoment of driving circuit. All is primary for following chapters.Research work is needed has been focused on TFT output character.In chapter4,much reseach work has been carried on TFT-LCD pixcel circuit composed of P-channel p-Si TFT.Its analysis is mainly focused on precise parameter assurance according to the need of VGA displaying and simulation.In order to increase display aperture ratio and improve its reliability,we have improve conventional pixcel circuit.In chapter 5,we have done some work on the design of peripheral integrateddrivers in devails,includingrow and line electrode driving circuits.These have been designed using P-channel TFT that shifter register,inverter,data latch,DAC and BLOCK circuits.Much simulation has been done using software also.In chapter 6,the protection circuits has been demonstracted in order to insure the safety of drivers.It is important for the trasition from design to application. In chapter 7,a brief summation is set out and following research direction and future work are preposed.Finally,we have carefully collected and cleaned up a lot of information and literatures for future research work.The main contribution of the dissertation is listed as follows.1. Precisely parameter assurance of pixel driving using P-channel TFT and simulation work.2. It has been demonstrated that an improved circuit and the circuit's area smaller,which is beneficial to display aperture ratio and improve the reliability.3. These have been designed that shift register,inverter,data latch and DAC circuits composed of P-channel TFT and been realized and simulated by simulation software.4. Much research work has been done on the design of peripheral integrated drivers.It has been realized that peripheral integrated driver in theory.We have done mathematic analysis on time-delay effect to prepare for the future display pheripheral integrated further study.
