| In recent years, with the development of computer, embedded technology, microelectronic and information network technology, such hand-held and mobile intelligent electronic devices have seen a rapid growth as intelligent handsets, palm computers and vehicle satellite navigation systems. In the broadcasting television industry, the progressively growing mobile community has dramatic demand for mobile electronic devices that can receive high quality broadcasting television programs across the country, such as satellite mobile television multimedia terminals oriented to long-distance buses, trains, airplanes, steamboats, family cars, etc.This article systematically analyzed the situation for and technical characteristics of current mobile digital audio broadcasting, made upgrading and expansion to the Worldspace Satellite's Asia Satellite, designed and developed BCLAN-the satellite channel merge transmission gateway, which could combine channels of Asia Satellite suitable for audio transmission and form 384K band-width to meet the need of video transmission.When being used, the system can send digital video broadcast programs with excellent acoustic quality and clear images via Worldspace Satellite which has received positive reviews. Tests and practical application show that the system could achieve the design requirements in such aspects as function, performance and stability. |
