With the development of communication and MEMS technologies, ubiquitous Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN) have widely used for precision agriculture, medical care, environment monitor, etc, which extend our ability of obtaining information. IPv6, the core protocol of NGN, endows with the attributes of abundant addresses, high security and complete set of protocols. Wireless Sensor Networks combined with IPv6 is the trend of the future network. The IPv6-WSNs fulfill the exchanging information between objects as well as between objects and humans. Instead of an isolated network, IPv6-WSNs are required to access to the current Internet, which facilitates users worldwide to get data from IPv6-WSNs and control the system at any moment. Therefore, it is essential to propose the architecture of the background data system by different access ways, and design a specific one based on real environment to obtain sensing data, execute control operation and store effective store data.Firstly, the paper discusses the basic framework in IPv6-WSNs, analyzes different access methods and system composition between IPv6-WSNs and Internet, and proposes the general module for the background system. Secondly, considering the real environment without Internet infrastructure, it is effective to connect IPv6-WSNs with Internet by CDMA/GPRS access. Therefore the background data system has been proposed to fulfill sensing data gathering, storing and control from remote server. Thirdly, the background system has been tested and verified on the farmland. Finally, the paper summarizes the ideas and proposes future work.
